Unfortunately, Google Play Store has stopped.

So, about a week ago, my Nexus 7 started occasionally closing out of the play store and telling me (or randomly popping up and telling me) "Unfortunately, Google Play Store has stopped. By Friday it was a constant thing and I couldn't be in the Play Store app for more than 10 seconds before it closed out. It made the app sort of useless. I found troubleshooting steps online and tried to fix it myself to no avail. On Friday, I ended up getting connected to Customer Service to try to fix it and had to do a Factory Data Reset.

Well, it started it again this week on Sunday so tonight I went straight to talking to Customer Service to see if maybe following their directions step by step would help. Here are the list of steps I did with Customer Service on my Nexus 7:

Clear data and cache for Google Play Store, Google Services Framework, Download Manager and then restart the device.

If that doesn't work, do all of the above steps but also uninstall updates to Google Play Store before you restart it.

If that doesn't work, you have nothing left to do but to a Factory Dada Reset. As I've now had to do twice. :(

I really really hope it's fixed this time or I'm going to be rather upset!
